When approaching corporate identities to rebrand Rexall peaked my interests. I strived to efficiently capture their mission statement, history, and customer values, considering their own recent facelift as of early 2014 — rebranding the rebrand. 💊

🛠️ BUILDING THE BRAND
Since first establishing their roots on Canadian soil back in early 1904, Rexall has constantly pushed to adapt themselves to cater to customer needs and challenge elements of the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. However, as of their most recent facelift, they seem to have settled on an aesthetic that may stray too far from their core values, history, and mission statement.
Introducing a fresh take on the Rexall brand that stands apart from the pharmaceutical norm while staying loyal to customer familiarity. Where stepping too far in an overly ‘clinical’ design direction would evidently disconnect the Rexall from the very same brand they’ve carefully work so hard to mold. This redesign ambitiously rides the line between corporate and semi-vintage/ organic by settling on an modern typeface but keeping Rexall’s original (2013), and most memorable, color scheme!

Rexall is a retail pharmaceutical company gone Canadian-staple. The corporation prides itself on constantly evolving to support and encourage healthy living since 1904. They actively thrive, succeed, and continue to work diligently to help ‘one customer at a time’ while innovating growth. They carry over old fashioned morals and beliefs that have helped them stand out from the competition. Rexall’s core qualities continue to prosper regardless of what logo they have spear-heading the company.
However, the pharmaceutical business is changing – now more than ever. Striving to make Rexall both more convenient and accessible for long-standing and new-age customers I hope my facelift will encourage change and push the limits of how pharmaceutical companies treat, and navigate, rebrands/ brand-related material.
Dedicated: experience can be learned and taught, but dedication is something that comes from the passion for a purpose. Trustworthy: Rexall strives to be difference makers; leaders that get expected results, even if it means committing to a heavier workload. Innovative: originating with a vision to establish a retail pharmacy that would be catered and locally owned with an exclusive ‘in touch’ experience Rexall actively researches and creates new products for their customers. Reaching to aid, grow, and support.
